Internet and Wireless Service
The library is pleased to provide public access to the Internet both on wirelessly and on public computers.
Wireless internet
Wireless internet (WIFI) is available at all library branches. WIFI services are also available outside the building when in close proximity 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. There are no time restrictions on use.
How to connect to Haldimand County Public Library WIFI:
- Open WIFI networks on your smartphone, mobile device or laptop
- Select "My Haldimand" from the listed networks
- After it connects (this may take a moment), you should receive an "Acceptable Use Policy" pop-up.
- Select the blue "Accept" button.
If the "Acceptable Use Policy" pop-up does not appear, try typing haldimandlibrary.ca into your devices internet browser (for example: Chrome, Safari etc.) to prompt the pop-up.
If you have trouble connecting to our WIFI network, please ask staff at the front desk for assistance.
Charging stations are available in all library branches on a first-come, first-served basis. They have charging cords for most popular smartphones and mobiles devices. Electric outlets for device charging are available throughout the library but can be limited, so users are encouraged to charge their devices before coming to the branch.
Public computers
Each library is equipped with public computers (Microsoft OS). Public computers provide access to the internet, access to Microsoft Office products (Word and Excel) and have printing capabilities. Public computers are free to use (fees apply for printing).
Public computers are available first-come, first-served during regular library hours. Pre-booking is available by calling the library branch of your choice. Public computers are used in 1-hour blocks with the potential for extension when no one else is waiting. Time limits will be exercised during busy periods to ensure access for all.
A Haldimand County Public Library card is required to use public computers. Don't have a library card? Get one today!
