Babysitting Course

Throughout the year we offer the Canadian Red Cross Babysitting course to youth ages 11 and up at the Caledonia, Cayuga, Dunnville, Hagersville, Selkirk and Jarvis branches.

The Red Cross Babysitting Course is a two day program. Participants must attend both days in order to receive their certificate of completion.

Pre-registration is required and must be completed in person at the branch. Space per course is limited to a maximum of 12 participants.

Program cost: $40.00 per person (payable by cheque or cash only)

March Break 2025 Babysitting Courses

Starting Monday, February 3 Haldimand County youth ages 11 and up can register for The Canadian Red Cross Babysitting Courses being offered over the March Break at the Caledonia and Dunnville branches.

Each course will run over 2 days from 10:30am until 2:00pm. Participants will be required to attend both days at the branch and demonstrate a responsible and mature attitude in order to receive their certificate of completion.

Registration must be done in person at the library branch with the $40.00 program fee due at the time of registration. Please note, the fee can only be paid by cash or by cheque.

Caledonia Branch- Tuesday, March 11 and Wednesday, March 12, from 10:30 pm to 2:00 pm

Dunnville Branch - Thursday, March 13 and Friday, March 14, from 10:30 pm to 2:00 pm

Summer 2025 Babysitting Courses

Starting Monday, June 9, Haldimand County youth ages 11 and up can register for Canadian Red Cross Babysitting Courses being offered over the summer break at all Haldimand County Library branches.

Each course will run over 2 days from 10:30am until 2:00pm. Participants will be required to attend both days at the branch and demonstrate a responsible and mature attitude in order to receive their certificate of completion.

Registration must be done in person at the library branch with the $40.00 program fee due at the time of registration. Please note, the fee can only be paid by cash or by cheque.

Jarvis Branch – Monday, July 7 and Tuesday, July 8, from 10:30 am to 2:00 pm

Cayuga Branch - Monday. July 14 and Tuesday, July 15, from 10:30 am to 2:00 pm

Hagersville Branch – Monday, July 21 and Tuesday, July 22, from 10:30 am to 2:00 pm

Dunnville Branch – Thursday, August 7 and Friday, August 8, from 10:30 am to 2:00 pm

Selkirk Branch – Tuesday, August 12 and Wednesday, August 13, from 10:30 am to 2:00 pm

Caledonia Branch - Thursday, August 18 and Friday, August 19, from 0:30am to 2:00 pm
