Service Canada Sessions

Through a partnership with Service Canada, the Library is hosting in-person clinics and information sessions about government benefits and services. 

The clinic sessions offer one-on-one assistance with accessing government services, registering for government benefits and more. No appointment is necessary. 

The information sessions are meant to offer in depth information on a certain topic. 

Registration: No registration is required for the clinic or information sessions.

Locations offered: Caledonia, Cayuga, Dunnville, Hagersville and Jarvis

Important Note:  If you are attending the clinics to receive help applying for or accessing Service Canada programs and benefits you will need photo ID and know your Social Insurance Number to gain access to your Service Canada file.

Upcoming March 2025 Sessions

Monday, March 24 at the Hagersville branch

  • Information Session: 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm
  • Clinic: 2:30 pm to 3:30 pm 

Learn about valuable benefits and credits available to modest-income individuals and families in Canada. Explore programs such as the Canada Child Benefit, the GST/HST Credit, the Canada Workers Benefit, the Disability Tax Credit, the Child Disability Benefit, the Canada Caregiver Credit, and the Climate Action Incentive Payment. Learn about eligibility criteria, the application processes, and how to claim these benefits to enhance your overall financial well-being.

  • Information Session: 1:30 pm to 2:30 pm
  • Clinic: 3:00 pm to 4:00 pm.
