Service Canada Sessions

Through a partnership with Service Canada, the Library is hosting in-person clinics and information sessions about government benefits and services. 

The clinic sessions offer one-on-one assistance with accessing government services, registering for government benefits and more. No appointment is necessary. 

The information sessions are meant to offer in depth information on a certain topic. 

Registration: No registration is required for the clinic or information sessions.

Locations offered: Caledonia, Cayuga, Dunnville, Hagersville and Jarvis

Important Note:  If you are attending the clinics to receive help applying for or accessing Service Canada programs and benefits you will need photo ID and know your Social Insurance Number to gain access to your Service Canada file.

Monday, January 20 at the Jarvis branch

  • Information Session: 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm
  • Clinic: 2:30 pm to 3:30 pm

Tuesday, January 28 at the Caledonia branch

  • Clinic: 3:00 pm to 4:00 pm.

In this 1-hour presentation, participants will discover Canadian tax obligations and benefit programs designed for newcomers. Explore tax reporting, deductions, residency status considerations, and access to tax credits and benefits like the Working Income Tax Benefit.
