Donating to the Library
Financial donations
Haldimand County Public Library is a registered charitable organization. Your support can make a meaningful difference to the Library and your community. Donations assist us in expanding our collections, and improving our programs and services.
Ways to donate
In person
You can make a donation at one of our library branches. Cash and cheques are accepted. Tax receipts are available on request.
If you would like your donation to go towards a specific branch, collection or service, let our staff know when your make your donation.
Online
You can donate online through our Canada Helps profile page, using a credit card, PayPal, Google Pay or Canada Helps gift card. Tax receipts are automatically generated by Canada Helps.
If you’d like the donation to go to a specific branch, collection or service, let us know in the “send a message to this charity” field on the donation form.
Donation of materials
The Library gratefully accepts books, DVDs, magazines, puzzles, and game donations, provided items are in usable condition. Items donated which are recently published and not currently owned by the Library will be considered for collection addition; other items are placed in branch book sales, the monies generated from which go towards the purchase of new materials.
Items of local historical significance that can be added to our archival collections (such as local history books, photographs, postcards).
