NEW SESSION! Learn to Play Mah Jongg (Mahjong) - Dunnville Branch

Back by popular demand, discover a new hobby and meet new people while participating in a free “Learn to Play Mah Jongg” program for adults.

Mah Jongg, also spelled “Mahjong”, is a game played with tiles and participants collect winning sets of tiles, similar to the approach used in card games like gin rummy.  Not only is it a fun game, but it develops your concentration, pattern recognition and problem solving skills as you play.

This 4-week learn-to-play program will run Monday afternoons from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m., beginning Monday September 8th at the Dunnville Branch.

Registration is necessary and can be done by visiting or calling the Dunnville Branch. 

 All experience levels are welcome to attend.

 

 

One Book One Haldimand

The Haldimand County Public Library invites residents of all ages to read this year's One Book One Haldimand title, Haunted Hamilton, by Mark Leslie.  

One Book One Haldimand is an annual, community-wide reading program which encourages individuals across Haldimand County to read a selected Canadian title and join the author and other community members for an evening of exciting discussion

Information on this years title, the author visit, and how to reserve your copy can be found by clicking the button below or at your local library branch. 

No registration is required and participation is free. 

Children and Teen Summer Reading Programs

Children and youth of all ages can sign up for the Children or Teen Summer Reading program for free.  

Registration for Library Summer Programs Opens Monday June 9

Registration for library summer programs such as crafts, games, parties and StoryTime's opens Monday June 9th at all branches.

Registration for the TD Summer Reading Program Opens Monday June 30

Children and teens can register to participate in the TD Summer Reading Club for free. 

Participants will receive a ballot for every library book they read (or that is read to them) throughout the summer. They can then enter these ballots into the end-of-summer draws for a chance to win. Only library books are eligible for ballots.
